The marks left by the Kargil war between India and Pakistan in the year 1999 have been, and will remain, etched in our memory for years and years. The blood that was shed, the lives that were lost, the sacrifices that were made, will always be remembered by every Indian. The war was a repercussion of infiltration of Indian borders by Pakistan, which had to be redeemed.

While there has been just one movie in the past that was based on the war, it has been a topic that not many makers have built stories around. Getting a refreshing change of pace to Indian television, Star Plus & Nikkhil Advani are bringing an Indian adaption of the popular English series ‘Homeland‘, set up 17 years after the Kargil War. The story revolves around the lives of two Indian soldiers who were held hostage in Pakistan after the war, but managed to escape after 17 long years. It outlines how the lives of the two men, and the ones dear to them, changed after their return to the nation. Called P.O.W.- Bandi Yuddh Ke, the show it set to hit the small screen this October.

If the trailer could give us goosebumps, image what the show is going to be like!
