You don’t have to be an Indian to join in our celebrations, and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau rightly demonstrated so, when he took part in the celebration of Indian’s 70th Independence Day with members of the Indo-Canadian community in Canada. Dressed in a complete Indian attire, he did bhangra to the dhol being played along, and looks delighting.

This is how we celebrate Indian Independence Day in my riding of Papineau!

The 23rd PM of Canada is a supporter of refugees and immigrants, and believes India and Canada share traditions of democracy and diversity, which unites the two. His liberal views and happy disposition have helped him gain popular support not just in Canada, but all over the world. I guess unity lies in diversity, after all!

Love,
