We are people who find others beautiful by the color of their skin, the size of their waist, the length of their hair and their appearance. We have always seen brands signing the prettiest models to showcase their brands. And how do we define pretty? Someone with a clear and fair skin, someone with a 36-24-36 figure, someone with long hair. Why does it come to physical aspects while we count on to perceive someone as beautiful?

In the world where we only find tall, fair and thin girls wearing big brands, recently a black model Deddeh Howard recreated some of the most famous fashion campaigns in a series called Black Mirror. She has been very passionate about culture, fashion and traveling and could not ignore the obvious lack of diversity in the modeling industry. And for this reason she, in collaboration with her photographer partner Raffael Dickreuter recreated some campaigns.

The pictures are captivating. Trust me, we can find the difference between the pictures. The recreated ones are possibly better than the pictures with the so called ‘beautiful models’.
